HeyGen

How we fixed database size limits, automated blog publishing, improved search engine optimization (SEO), and created a simple one-click system to translate the entire website into multiple languages.

HeyGen

Overview

About this project

HeyGen is a leading platform for AI video generation and digital avatars. While redesigning their website, the team added many new design features. However, this caused the website's database (Sanity CMS) to slow down and hit its maximum size limits. This blocked the developers from launching new updates, putting the project on hold.

Challenge & Solution

The Challenge

While building the new website, we added so many features, custom blocks, and pages that the website's database (Sanity CMS) hit its maximum size limit. Because the database was full, developers could not publish new code or launch updates, stalling the entire project. Additionally, translating the website manually was slow and prone to errors.

The Solution

We cleaned up the database structure and built new automation tools. We converted raw text files into structured web content and automated the publishing process. We also built an automatic SEO generator and a one-click translation engine that lets the team translate pages into 20+ languages simultaneously.
